About the role

  • Development & optimization: Backend development with PHP 8, Symfony 7 and API Platform.
  • Integrations & data flows: e.g., Mirth Connect, HL7, FHIR — building robust, secure interfaces.
  • API design: Building and evolving internal and external APIs (versioning, authentication, rate limiting).
  • Collaboration: Close cooperation with Frontend (React) and Product teams; well-defined interfaces and clear handovers.
  • Quality: Unit and integration tests, code reviews, clean code practices and security best practices.
  • DevOps & infrastructure ownership: CI/CD, containerization (Docker), orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), alerting and incident handling.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Backend Developer in a production environment (ideally in digital health or other regulated domains).
  • Strong knowledge of PHP 8, Symfony 7 and modern API development.
  • Practical experience with system integrations and healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR) as well as web stack components (nginx).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, IaC, monitoring and alerting.
  • Ownership mindset: you take responsibility, provide clarity and deliver reliably.
  • Open and constructive communication, high quality standards, and the drive to move things forward.
