About the role

  • Perform network assessments including discovery, analysis, recommendations, and remediation for WAN, LAN, WLAN, Hybrid virtual networks
  • Configure and implement switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls
  • Design network infrastructure to meet client objectives including but not limited to WAN, LAN, and Virtual Network
  • Design, configure and implement wireless networks
  • Hybrid cloud networking design and configuration (Azure / AWS / On-Premises)
  • Analyze network topologies, security architectures, security solutions, tools, and IT policies and standards to find gaps and recommend remediation
  • Harden devices per best practices and industry standards
  • SAN specific storage network design and implementation (FCoE, iSCSI, FC, Storage Spaces, vSAN)
  • Work with virtualized networking technologies: VMware vSphere, NSX, Microsoft Hyper-V virtual switching
  • Cloud integration and hybrid cloud connectivity tasks
  • Provide mentoring, technical leadership, and education to internal staff and customers
  • Collaborate with Sales Management on sales opportunities, up-sell/cross-sell, proposal development, and deal closure
  • Collaborate with ProArch’s Security team to harden and make recommendations to customers
  • Produce concise project documentation and prepare/deliver presentations to varied audiences
  • Provide daily time accounting, monthly expense reports, and travel within the continental United States when required

  • Maintaining professional certifications and obtaining new certifications
  • Travel will be required within the continental United States
  • Experience 4+ years networking experience as a primary responsibility
  • Certifications: Microsoft, Cisco, Security, and VMWare Certifications are desirable but not required for hire
  • A verbal and written technical assessment is given to potential candidates that must be passed
  • Technical skills: Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, Wireless LAN, Cloud Virtual Networking, Security, Advanced Routing

  • Primary Vendor familiarity: Firewall (Cisco, Meraki, Sonicwall, Barracuda), Switching (Cisco, HPE, Brocade), Routing (Cisco, HPE), WLAN (Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, HPE), Load Balancer (KEMP, Barracuda)
  • Server management skills desirable: AD, GPOs, DHCP, DNS, File, Print, Radius, IIS
