About the role

  • Managing an agreed portfolio of regional and national suppliers and handling operational tasks
  • Independently conducting terms-and-conditions negotiations and annual review meetings with suppliers
  • Responsible for supplier analyses and category (product-group) analyses
  • Deriving effective measures based on business key performance indicators
  • Responsible for purchasing projects as part of the onboarding process for new customers
  • Monitoring the food market environment to support decision-making
  • Continuously optimizing procurement processes and implementing new purchasing tools

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business administration or commercial vocational training with relevant further training/specialized qualifications
  • Several years of experience in purchasing/procurement
  • Experience in food purchasing is an advantage but not required
  • Team player with reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Structured and systematic working style
  • Good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Confident presence and excellent communication skills
  • Resilience and stamina; enjoyment of working independently
  • Strong numerical aptitude and conceptual thinking
  • Proficient with common MS Office applications; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
