About the role
- Review queues including transactions, onboarding applications, identity verifications, and business accounts
- Monitor transactions and signups for suspicious activity and emerging fraud patterns
- Analyze fraud events and create comprehensive incident reports documenting root causes and recommended preventive measures
- Write and test transaction monitoring rules to detect and prevent fraudulent activity
- Identify opportunities to improve fraud workflows operationally for the team and customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline the customer experience while balancing risk and reducing friction
- Use SQL to analyze fraud trends, identify patterns, and generate insights that inform risk strategy
Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Basic SQL proficiency: ability to write SELECT statements, understand table structures, understand joins and aggregation functions, and willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Excellent written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience or demonstrated analytical skills considered.
