About the role

  • Review queues including transactions, onboarding applications, identity verifications, and business accounts
  • Monitor transactions and signups for suspicious activity and emerging fraud patterns
  • Analyze fraud events and create comprehensive incident reports documenting root causes and recommended preventive measures
  • Write and test transaction monitoring rules to detect and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Identify opportunities to improve fraud workflows operationally for the team and customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline the customer experience while balancing risk and reducing friction
  • Use SQL to analyze fraud trends, identify patterns, and generate insights that inform risk strategy

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Basic SQL proficiency: ability to write SELECT statements, understand table structures, understand joins and aggregation functions, and willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience or demonstrated analytical skills considered.
