About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install tow truck bodies, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and related systems
  • Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural components
  • Perform equipment upfitting and customization tasks
  • Complete assembly and basic fabrication assignments
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • At least 1 year of automotive, diesel, fabrication, equipment repair, or related mechanical experience
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
  • Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools
  • Experience with tow trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles (Preferred)
  • Welding or fabrication experience (Preferred)
