About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install tow truck bodies, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and related systems
- Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural components
- Perform equipment upfitting and customization tasks
- Complete assembly and basic fabrication assignments
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- At least 1 year of automotive, diesel, fabrication, equipment repair, or related mechanical experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools
- Experience with tow trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles (Preferred)
- Welding or fabrication experience (Preferred)
