About the role
- Lead end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations, including architecture, solution design, and deployment
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for Marketing Cloud across client engagements and internal initiatives
- Design and build complex, scalable customer journeys using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder
- Develop and optimize multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, push, etc.) with a focus on personalization and performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and marketing requirements into technical solutions
- Establish data models, segmentation strategies, and integrations with CRM and external data sources
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, particularly within health/pharma contexts
- Provide strategic guidance on marketing technology, campaign optimization, and customer engagement best practices
- Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve platform performance and campaign effectiveness
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud in a consulting or client-facing role, with experience leading implementations and managing stakeholder relationships
- Proven expertise across core Marketing Cloud modules (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder)
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement Consultant certification
- Strong understanding of data architecture, segmentation, and integrations (APIs, SQL, data extensions)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CASL) is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate in a new, evolving capability within a growing organization
