About the role
- Perform technical analyses and calculations for civil engineering applications including stormwater management, river and wetland restoration, and dam removal/restoration
- Collaborate with your manager to solve engineering challenges and progressively take on project ownership
- Assist with preparing design plans, technical specifications, engineer’s estimates, and critical path project schedules
- Perform construction-related fieldwork and/or oversight (e.g., stream surveys and restoration, dam inspections, stormwater management facilities)
- Be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers committed to improving ecosystems, communities, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, or water resources engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited university
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
- Valid driver’s license.
- 0-3 years of applicable work experience
- EIT certification (preferred)
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects involving design, permitting, and construction oversight
- Experience with hydrologic modeling (HMS, HydroCAD) and hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS – steady and unsteady flow)
- Experience with GIS.
