About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including complex calculations for shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses.
- Act as the primary administrator for the ADP Workforce Now (Next Gen) payroll platform, maintaining the integrity of employee data and utilizing the Time Labor Management (TLM) system.
- Lead the administration of employee health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, and annual open enrollment.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal and state labor laws (FLSA, ACA). Lead internal and external audits, including workers' compensation and 401(k) audits.
- Manage the completion and filing of benefits compliance such as Plan Non-Discrimination testing, Form 5500, Medical Spend Reporting,
- Generate and analyze specialized payroll and HR reports for plant leadership to assist with labor cost analysis and budgeting.
- Serve as the first point of contact for plant employees regarding pay discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefits inquiries.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3–5 years of high-volume payroll experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now Next Gen is helpful. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data reconciliation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Finance preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of multi-state tax jurisdictions, garnishments, and labor laws. High level of confidentiality and professional communication skills.
