About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and support a team of software and firmware developers.
Ensure timely and reliable delivery of high-quality software and firmware releases.
Oversee planning, prioritization, and daily execution.
Ensure testing coverage, validation, and adherence to engineering quality standards.
Continuously polish, optimize, and elevate development processes for better efficiency, quality, and predictability.
Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements across workflows, tools, and team practices.
Promote best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, architecture, and documentation.
Introduce and refine engineering standards and development methodologies.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities for defects, customer incidents, and escalations.
Ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are defined and implemented.
Communicate progress, risks, mitigation strategies, and improvement actions to stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Several years of experience in software or firmware development.
Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
Solid understanding of Agile or SAFe principles.
Strong knowledge of testing, CI/CD, and quality assurance practices.
Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analysis.
Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Experience as a Team Coach, Agile Coach, or similar Agile leadership role (Nice-to-Have).
Certification in SAFe or Agile frameworks (Nice-to-Have).
Experience interacting with customers in technical contexts (Nice-to-Have).
Background in embedded systems, IoT, or hardware-near development (Nice-to-Have).
Familiarity with Lean/Kaizen, engineering excellence practices, or DevOps transformation (Nice-to-Have).
Knowledge of RCA methods (5 Whys, Ishikawa, A3, etc.) (Nice-to-Have).
