Estimator / Project Controls Engineer
PrimECS, LLC.Estimator / Project Controls Engineer responsible for cost estimation and monitoring for U.S. infrastructure projects.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, civil works)
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing (labor, materials, equipment)
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Track project costs and monitor budget vs. actual performance
- Support cost forecasting and reporting
- Develop Excel-based tools and templates for estimating and reporting
- Improve and standardize cost control processes
- Coordinate with estimating, project management, and finance teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience (10+ preferred) in estimating or project controls
- Experience in infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, civil)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, labor, equipment, and materials
- Strong Excel skills (required)
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in U.S. EST business hours
