About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independent responsibility for finance and accounting, including organizing the accounting function and preparing annual financial statements in close coordination with tax advisors
Tax support for worldwide activities, taking into account country-specific regulations and frameworks
Establishment, further development and maintenance of internal controlling structures
Preparation of cost accounting, profitability analyses, reports and meaningful key performance indicators
Responsibility for all HR matters from workforce planning through contract drafting and labor law issues to payroll in cooperation with tax experts
Organization and continuous improvement of administrative processes, including contract management, risk management, compliance, IT structures, insurance and guarantees
Participation in strategic projects with senior management, such as market entry, new sites, acquisition processes, corporate structure and new business areas

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional experience in a mechanical engineering company, with at least 4 consecutive years in employment required
Degree in business administration, finance or comparable qualification
Extensive professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally with exposure to the construction or engineering sector
Business-fluent English, both written and spoken
Very good German language skills
Deep technical expertise and long-standing practical experience in financial accounting
Solid experience in the commercial support of international projects
Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel
Strong digital affinity
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
Willingness to travel occasionally for business
Strong intercultural competence
Willingness to independently familiarize oneself with international legal and regulatory frameworks
Ensure legally compliant and efficient project execution
