About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare invoices in accordance with the German Lawyers' Fees Act (RVG) or on an hourly billing basis
- Review and correct cost statements
- Monitor incoming and outgoing payments (e.g., on the client trust account)
- Send payment reminders and dunning notices to clients
- Calculate and monitor deadlines (according to the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO), RVG, etc.)
- Review and prepare legal documents (e.g., powers of attorney, contracts, statements of claim), and correspondence with courts, clients, opposing parties, insurers, etc.
- Document management: scanning, printing, sorting and digital filing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed vocational training and initial professional experience in a commercial or legal environment, or several years in a similar role
- Relevant professional experience, ideally in a law firm
- Good MS Office skills
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- A high degree of independence, initiative and reliability
