- Lead the scientific and editorial team to deliver high-quality, compliant, and impactful medical communications
- Take responsibility for resource management, recruitment, and team development
- Work closely with client services to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with strategic objectives
- Inspire confidence with clients and external experts
- Contribute to business growth through proposals and pitches
- Act as a role model across the agency, driving both scientific excellence and commercial success
Requirements
- At least 10 years’ healthcare agency experience in senior roles
- A life sciences degree, ideally combined with a higher degree (science Masters, PhD, or MD)
- Proven track record in leading an editorial/scientific team within a medical communications agency
- Extensive medical writing experience in a medical communications or pharma environment across a broad range of projects and therapeutic areas
- Line management/mentoring and reviewing experience in a medical communications agency
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Commercial awareness relating to financial management of medical communications business
- Experience of developing and attending new business pitches
