About the role

  • Interact with business areas to understand value, pain points and expectations related to the processes to be automated.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of evaluated processes and support the prioritization of requests, organizing the roadmap and development backlog according to business priorities and strategies.
  • Prepare Process Definition Documents (PDD) aligned with requirements, operational instructions, and information security and governance policies.
  • Act as Project Owner when requirements requested in an automation project need to be renegotiated with the business, being responsible for defining and validating the requirement to be followed.
  • Use agile task management and monitoring systems (e.g., JIRA) and create epics, stories and acceptance criteria for deliverables.
  • Design and propose process flows (BPMN) that enable the implementation of automated operations, acting as a process consultant to business areas and suggesting solutions for identified constraints.
  • Analyze historical process data to support identification of continuous improvement opportunities, reduction of deviations and increased operational efficiency.
  • Support the definition and modeling of databases, development of decision matrices and application of intelligent logic (predictive or adaptive heuristics) based on analytical or probabilistic models.
  • Create and maintain structured logging systems for variables, enabling traceability of actions, productivity and success rates of automations.
  • Develop, monitor and present KPIs for automated processes, as well as propose action plans to achieve established goals.
  • Support developers with project kick-off presentations, presenting flows, rules and expectations to be met by the automation.
  • Assist in preparing technical estimates regarding expected requirements and feasibility of the process to be automated.
  • Participate in the functional review and acceptance testing of developed scripts, validating adherence to the PDD, acceptance criteria and technical compliance.
  • Ensure that automation projects comply with information security policies, script versioning and auditing of automated decisions.
  • When necessary, update and review documentation (PDD) in case of impactful business rule changes.
  • Deliver presentations and status reports on automated processes to stakeholders and business areas, ensuring alignment on results and next steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree COMPLETED in Production Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.
  • Experience in process analysis and modeling (BPMN).
  • Knowledge of automation tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, Robot Framework, Selenium, integration APIs or similar).
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Ability to interpret and model data (SQL, advanced spreadsheets, performance dashboards).
  • Knowledge of automation governance, script versioning and best practices for technical documentation.
  • Experience in preparing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming languages used for automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, VBScript) is a plus.
  • Experience conducting functional tests and approving automations.
  • Knowledge of decision structures and application of analytical or heuristic models (decision matrices, predictive models or adaptive heuristics).
