About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound calls, emails, networking, and in-person visits
  • Generate new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts
  • Conduct cold calls and customer visits to identify shipping and logistics needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and communication
  • Meet with customers on-site to strengthen partnerships and uncover additional opportunities
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Represent Primary Freight professionally in all customer interactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous sales experience preferred, especially in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or business-to-business sales
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline
  • Goal-oriented with a desire to exceed expectations and maximize earnings
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for customer meetings and business development activities
