Sales Representative

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound calls, emails, networking, and in-person visits
- Generate new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts
- Conduct cold calls and customer visits to identify shipping and logistics needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and communication
- Meet with customers on-site to strengthen partnerships and uncover additional opportunities
- Collaborate with operations and internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify growth opportunities
- Represent Primary Freight professionally in all customer interactions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous sales experience preferred, especially in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or business-to-business sales
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline
- Goal-oriented with a desire to exceed expectations and maximize earnings
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for customer meetings and business development activities
