About the role

  • Improve and maintain our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows, enhancing performance, reliability, and usability.
  • Collaborate closely with product and other platform teams to identify productivity bottlenecks and deliver scalable, impactful solutions.
  • Drive innovation by researching, experimenting with, and implementing AI tools to meaningfully enhance our core development workflows.
  • Contribute to our developer tools like JADE, our next-gen solution for personalized development environments, using Python, Golang or TypeScript.
  • Implement observability best practices and integrate metrics to monitor and drive data-driven initiatives to improve the workflow of our developers.
  • Advocate for software development best practices and foster engineering excellence across teams.
  • Partner with SREs, developers, and other platform teams to streamline the deployment, testing, and development processes.
  • Explore and possibly define qualitative and quantitative metrics for measuring engineering efficiency to guide strategic improvements.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD systems and experience maintaining or improving pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions)
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Linux
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS
  • Deep understanding of containerization technologies and Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Golang, or TypeScript
  • At least five years experience as a software developer and a strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and microservices
  • A track record of identifying and solving developer productivity issues with scalable solutions
  • Knowledge of observability practices and tools (e.g., logging, metrics, tracing)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across team boundaries.
