About the role
- Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring for stylist and support roles.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create sourcing plans.
- Source candidates through online platforms, job fairs, networking events, and direct outreach.
- Support and help facilitate technical auditions for stylists, ensuring candidates meet skill requirements (training provided).
- Coordinate and attend in-person hiring events and cohort sessions.
- Build and maintain partnerships with cosmetology schools and alumni networks.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking and status updates using Workable (ATS).
- Ensure a high-touch, positive candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
- Promote the Pressed Roots employer brand across social media and networking platforms.
- Ensure all recruiting activities align with state and federal employment law.
- Assist with administrative duties related to recruiting and onboarding as needed.
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings as needed.
- Continuously improve recruiting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a customer service-facing role (experience in beauty, retail, or hospitality is a plus).
- Based in Texas with reliable transportation to visit salons and attend events in Dallas, Plano, Arlington, and occasionally Houston.
- Must be comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with recruiting platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and ATS systems (Workable preferred) or other computer systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable learning new systems, receiving feedback, and working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Passion for the beauty industry and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
