Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and / or military experience
1 - 2 years building software, whether through a job, internship, co-op, bootcamp, or substantial academic and personal projects.
Working fluency in at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C#/.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
Hands-on experience with Git and version control in a shared codebase.
A real testing instinct: you write and validate tests because you want your work to hold up, not because someone told you to.
Clear communication and a learning mindset: you say where things stand, ask when you are stuck, and turn feedback into progress quickly.
Willingness and ability to travel 0–10% as engagement needs require.
Exposure to back-end or front-end frameworks like Spring, FastAPI, ASP.NET, React, or Angular.
Familiarity with APIs and RESTful or service-oriented patterns.
Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, or Jenkins.
Exposure to relational or NoSQL data stores such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
Curiosity about AI-assisted development and modern engineering tools.
