About the role

  • Manage delivery pipeline of software engineering solutions across a portfolio
  • Collaborate with various teams including business, sales, and marketing to define requirements
  • Drive technical excellence and implementation of best engineering practices
  • Be a hands-on problem solver and lead in exploring new technology platforms
  • Ensure adoption of quality assurance techniques to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Attract and retain diverse engineering talent
  • Assemble and present technology delivery pitches to senior audiences
  • Support pre-sales and solutions teams
  • Manage day to day operations and client communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in CS, IT
  • 4-6 years of experience in a Sr Engineer role
  • 4+ years with multiple partner clouds (AWS, Azure, Rackspace, OpenStack, Oracle cloud)
  • Hands-on experience with web development (Python, Go, C#, JavaScript)
  • Experience with back-end development and open source technologies (Jersey framework, Spring framework)
  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA) and DevOps tools (Gradle, Docker, Git)
  • Expertise in relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Expertise in NoSQL DB technologies (Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Expertise in message queues (RabbitMQ, Redis)
  • Hands-on experience with N tier Architecture (MVC, JEE) and ORM
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with business units, product management, development, and operations staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
