Lead the design and development of scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend systems supporting functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Define and maintain automation best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to QA engineers, promoting consistent testing standards and high-quality delivery.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, and perform API testing using Postman, ReadyAPI, Karate, or Rest Assured.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
Collaborate with DevOps to enhance test automation efficiency and ensure robust integration across environments.
Partner with developers, product owners, and managers to proactively identify and resolve defects early in the development cycle.
Participate in Agile (Scrum) processes, applying TDD and BDD principles to maximize test coverage and quality outcomes.
Contribute to sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives, providing QA insights and feedback.
Develop and manage test cases, test data, and defect tracking in tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA-Xray.
Track and report key QA metrics, including test coverage, defect leakage, and test cycle times.
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance QA effectiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 5+ years in test automation.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium (for mobile), and Postman/REST Assured/Karate/ReadyAPI.
Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch.
Familiarity with test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Pytest, or Mocha.
Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, or SQLite).
Experience designing and executing test strategies, reporting defects, verifying fixes, and conducting root cause analysis.

Familiarity with contract testing and mobile application testing.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB.
