About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform basic construction tasks such as racking and panel assembly, hand digging trenches, backfilling and material organization
- Assist journeyworker tradespeople such as laborers, masons, and equipment operators
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other construction materials
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
- Follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Perform basic measurements and calculations
- Communicate any delays
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices
- OSHA 10 Certification
