About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform basic construction tasks such as racking and panel assembly, hand digging trenches, backfilling and material organization
  • Assist journeyworker tradespeople such as laborers, masons, and equipment operators
  • Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment
  • Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete and other construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Perform basic measurements and calculations
  • Communicate any delays

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices
  • OSHA 10 Certification
