Telecommunications Tower Technician 1
Premise Inc.Telecommunications Tower Technician performing installations and equipment tests for Premise Inc. in various outdoor conditions, requiring travel and climbing steep structures.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, install, decommission, assemble, and modify ground and tower telecom equipment
- Perform jobsite system tests including, PIM, Sweep, Fiber OTDR, and optical power meters
- Assist in troubleshooting site issues as they arise
- Read drawings, plans and construction drawings
- Perform basic crane signaling to direct lifting and moving of equipment by crane operators
- Clean and organize jobsites, tools and crew trucks and trailers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0-1+ years’ experience as Telecommunications Tower Technician or other construction role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of construction, quality, safety and OSHA guidelines
- Must possess or be able to obtain valid certifications and licensing: Competent Climber & Rescue, OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, Radio Frequencies, Blood Borne Pathogens, DOT Health Card
- Travel overnight up to 75% of the time is required for this position
