Responsible for greeting customers coming into the collision center for all service needs
Take and determine appropriate course of action for all incoming service department telephone calls concerning pending repairs, scheduling, cost and completion dates
Assist in the preparation of quotes on repair jobs and write service orders obtaining customer approval
Open and close Repair Orders in times of customer/service overflow
Assist Shop Supervisor(s) in assigning collision technicians to specific service jobs and monitor job progress
Assist collision technicians in identifying opportunities to Up-Sell
Report all customer complaints to the shop foreman or collision center manager
Inspect each departing job for quality and cleanliness
Finalize paperwork upon completion of work and at end of shift
Check all cash schedules daily
Assist shop foreman daily and serve as relief for shop foreman vacations
Promote good housekeeping and safe work practices
Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is required
Additional training in heavy duty trucks required
Equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service Relations, vehicle environment and employee supervision
A valid driver’s license is required
CDL and DOT medical card is mandatory if vehicle is to be driven off of dealership premises
