About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Transform customers’ source system data into the Premier Ingest Data Spec for landing in the Databricks warehouse
- Enable robust analytics capabilities within the Premier product suite
- Collaborate with customer IT, customer data architects, and business stakeholders to understand customer data and populate the warehouse for analytics use cases
- Serve as the trusted advisor and subject matter expert for source-system, healthcare, and organizational/entity-management data
- Collect required data elements, create accurate mappings, obtain member sign-off, and document data flows and implementation nuances
- Consult with customers on data-mapping analysis and issue resolution
- Work with Data Development and Product Management to complete adapter builds and land, store, and warehouse customer data
- Analyze raw source-system data, mapping limitations, and downstream ETL transformation logic
- Identify continuous-improvement opportunities in data analysis and mapping processes, tools, and operating mechanisms
- Profile and analyze data with the Technical Account Manager to define statements of work for new adapter projects
- Communicate mapping status, risks, and issues with Technical Account Managers
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex customer source-system data problems and recommend solutions for data-integrity issues
- Perform quality assurance on custom transformation logic for PIDS ingestion by Premier products
- Communicate with customers and Premier team members to deliver technical solutions and manage expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 or more years of applicable experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- EMR source system certification
- EPIC Certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with SQL queries
- Experience creating source-to-target data mappings
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills
- Ability to understand data workflows in configured clinical information and decision-support systems
- Ability to complete clinical and technical tasks in coordination with members
- Project management and time-management capability
- Excellent member-facing communication skills
- Knowledge of existing and emerging healthcare analytics trends
- Aptitude for learning new technical skills and source systems quickly
- Experience in at least one healthcare data domain, including billing, claims, revenue cycle/patient accounting/accounts receivable, EHR clinical quality/population health, ancillary systems, or HIS/patient registration/scheduling/authorization
- 10+ years of EMR source-system data architecture experience listed as preferred
- Bachelor’s degree listed as preferred
- Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods
- Ability to adapt, change priorities quickly, and meet deadlines
