About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and support enterprise workflow automation solutions using Appian, Microsoft technologies, and related automation platforms
  • Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead complex business process automation initiatives, including case management, workflow orchestration, document processing, and system integrations
  • Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using RESTful APIs, web services, and event-driven architectures
  • Leverage Appian AI and intelligent automation for classification, extraction, summarization, routing, and decision support
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance to developers
  • Drive operational excellence through code reviews, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Promote engineering best practices, reusable components, and platform governance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and customer experiences
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (required)
  • Eight years of relevant experience (required)
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Skills using one or more programming languages
  • Strong Appian experience preferred
  • Expertise in business process automation solutions preferred
  • RESTful APIs and creating integration services preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and represent the team to other teams or leadership preferred
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies according to business needs
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry or a highly regulated environment
