About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain software applications across web, cloud, and enterprise platforms;
- Partner with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions;
- Write and improve code using modern development practices including CI/CD;
- Support production systems through troubleshooting and performance optimization;
- Participate in testing and ensure quality through automation;
- Contribute to system design decisions, including prototypes and proofs of concept;
- Collaborate with team members while mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems
- Five (5) years of software development experience, knowledge of software development lifecycle, and skills to utilize one or more programming languages
- Experience working with cloud solutions.
- Experience in healthcare industry or a highly regulated environment.
- Technical knowledge and experience with specific technical tools used at Premera (i.e. Facets) or required for open position.
- Previous experience in an agile environment.
- Exposure to API and service-based technologies.
- Experience using and creating automated test tools.
