About the role

  • Support the Controller in all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and revenue recognition
  • Prepare and post journal entries; maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts monthly
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes and related financial reporting
  • Help document and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, analyses, and special reports as needed
  • Assist with annual financial reviews, audits, and 401K audits
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support the collection process and help resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting
  • Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and internal controls
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • 2 years of experience in accounting preferred (internships and relevant experience considered)
