About the role
- Develop into Strategic Account Manager and Director over time
- Understand clients' business challenges and help define strategic questions and goals
- Prepare annual strategic/tactical plans for clients and campaign/project plans as needed
- Manage and strengthen client relationships; propose and oversee projects tied to clients’ objectives
- Offer unsolicited ideas to increase client brand and company effectiveness
- Understand revenue generation and contribute to company profitability
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities
- Initiate and oversee Precision AQ activities on behalf of clients
- Manage day-to-day client-Precision AQ communication on strategy and planning
- Function as an extension of the client’s team by taking ownership and accountability for their business
- Closely manage clients’ budget and team efficiency
- Work with internal team to exceed clients’ expectations
- Mentor, train, and coach team members
- Stay abreast of developments in clients’ industries and hone marketing and strategy expertise
- Assist in preparation of annual strategic/tactical plans, address ad hoc client requests, review and finalize materials, lead calls, prepare content, travel to and attend live meetings as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, and/or advanced degree in management, marketing, or business preferred
- At least 1-year account management experience within the medical communications or related industry
- PowerPoint design proficiency
- Strong strategic and analytical background
- Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
