About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deploy, configure, and maintain web application firewall systems
Deploy and configure Zero Trust Proxy systems, including identity gates, policies, and connectors
Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs
Investigate and respond to potential security incidents with the SOC and cybersecurity teams
Develop and maintain detection rules, alerts, and reports using logs
Provide investigation findings to business units
Integrate web application firewalls with CDNs such as Akamai and Radware
Use WAF data to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures
Maintain documentation of WAF configurations, policies, and procedures
Prepare web application security reports and metrics
Explain security details to application and engineering teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security objectives and knowledge sharing
Guide application teams on application security best practices and security awareness
Apply automation processes, Python, Terraform, AI, and cloud-native concepts across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in network security and 2 years in application security
Strong knowledge of web application security concepts and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
Understanding of OAuth, SAML, and OIDC authentication and authorization flows
Experience with WAF, Zero Trust Network Access, APIs, and cloud security policies
Understanding of API security issues and API authentication
Experience with SOC operations, cybersecurity analysis, log analysis, and threat detection is highly desirable
Understanding of information security principles and policy enforcement
Strong understanding of HTTP and troubleshooting using HTTP logs
Web development knowledge and familiarity with attack vectors and methods
Understanding of authentication, DNS, networks, firewalls, and SSL certificates
Knowledge of WAF technologies, preferably Akamai
Knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks and technologies
Experience integrating Zero Trust with WAF
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud security services and best practices
Infrastructure as code with Terraform and automation using Python
Ethical hacking experience
ServiceNow experience
Technical documentation experience
CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or other security certifications desired
Familiarity and comfort using AI tools
Bachelor's Degree/University Degree and/or Undergraduate Diploma in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years in experience
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Experience thriving in complex, fast-paced technology or information security organizations within large enterprises
Bilingual ability is a plus
