Develop and implement solutions for integrating public health coding systems and standards
Provide expert guidance on data standards and vocabulary authoring
Research and map complex scientific and laboratory assays to established vocabulary standards
Work with development organizations to create new standards and improve existing ones
Analyze and improve the quality of collected and produced data

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience as a public health terminologist
Experience working with public health coding systems and standards
Knowledge of Vocabulary Authoring procedures
Ability to provide data standards strategy and modernization support for terminology tooling at CDC
Ability to research and understand complex scientific and laboratory and surveillance nomenclature
Ability to map laboratory assays to vocabulary standards
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
B.A. or BS
