Key responsibilities & impact

overseeing multiple projects comprised of cross functional staff
serving as the project manager and primary client contact on the project
responsible for ensuring overall quality
developing recommendations based on expected impact
communicating risks and opportunities to ensure staff alignment
assuming the role of final decision maker able to overturn decisions and take accountability for outcomes
accountable for timely delivery and financial performance across projects
reviewing and sign off on deliverables as client ready including protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides
identifying necessary deviations from templates to ensure content aligns with objectives
providing final sign-off on update slides/minutes and actions for overall study
owning relationships with clients and being viewed as subject matter expert
acting as advisor on client calls and in responses to emails
proactively managing client expectations and working with team members to implement strategies to problem solve on a client or project-basis
participating in sales calls, leading study conceptualization, and drafting proposals for clients
line management responsibilities which include ensuring appropriate staffing and creating development plans for direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need

8-10 years of experience, at least four in a consulting environment
Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team
Awareness and understanding of financial performance on projects
Ability to line-manage and mentor direct reports and ensure positive staff wellbeing/team dynamic
