Managing an efficient and effective procurement operation for acquiring software, supplies, equipment, and services in connection with the delivery of services supporting clinical trials.
Identification of company vendor/domain requirements, identification, evaluation, and selection of vendors.
Participation in establishing vendor agreements, establishing and managing vendor standards and metrics.
Managing vendor performance through tracking and analysis, vendor governance, issue management and resolution, and development of ongoing vendor strategies.
Maintain and disseminate the Qualified Vendor List across Precision Medicine Group (PMG).
Support and answer vendor inquiries and information requests.
As a key point of contact, establish and maintain communication and relationship management with key vendors.
Managing the solicitation process, including reviewing/comparing specifications and costs and where appropriate supporting negotiation with vendors to reduce costs.
Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements.
Manage the Preferred Provider process for vendors in priority service domains.
Establish and track Performance Metrics for each vendor domain and specific vendor.
Track and proactively identify vendor performance trends, issues, and potential risks and lead company efforts to prevent and/or resolve issues and risks.
Represent Procurement in the vendor issue escalation and resolution process.
Assist Contracts with the CDA and MSA processes by acting as the point of contact with vendors, and tracking status/progress towards completion.
Provide domain and vendor specific input to Contracts for service level agreements and performance metrics contained within MSAs under negotiation.
Participate in the RFP evaluation and strategy process by providing input and recommendations on the status and performance of required vendors.
Developing tools and processes to support efficient and quality driven procurement activities.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry’s market trends and developments.
Leading transformational activities to build organizational procurement capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
Delivering value and competitive advantage measured by cost reduction and cost avoidance, vendor-enabled innovation, and risk mitigation.
Participate in Governance processes with select vendors.
Ensure vendor quality and compliance standards and requirements are met; coordinate vendor quality activities with Quality Assurance.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a business related discipline
At least 10 years’ experience within the outsourced drug development and/or biopharma industries, with experience in Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Relationship Management, Business Development, Project Management, Contracting, Partnership Management, or other relevant functions within the CRO or Client/Sponsor industries.
A thorough understanding of the clinical development market, including the core dynamics and processes underlying the outsourcing of services by sponsors to CROs.
Experience in establishing tracking and analytics for global, multi-entity functions which service commercial and operational functions.
