About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Configure, deploy, and manage company laptops and peripherals; maintain accurate inventory tracking from provisioning to secure decommissioning.
Maintain local and cloud-based network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, VPNs), ensuring redundancy and optimal remote access security.
Oversee company-wide software installations, patching, and updates to ensure stability and regulatory compliance.
Monitor logs and security tools for threats; lead vulnerability management and proactive incident response.
Ensure IT operations meet NIST, ISO 27001, and CMMC standards; maintain detailed security documentation for business proposals and audits.
Enforce MFA, least-privilege principles, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and system hardening.
Act as the escalation point for technical issues, resolving tickets efficiently to minimize downtime.
Lead cybersecurity awareness training for staff, focusing on phishing prevention and risk management.
Manage seamless transitions for new and departing employees, including hardware shipping and secure data sanitization.
Forecast and manage the IT budget for hardware, software, and telecommunications.
Align IT security strategy with business objectives and develop formal IT procedures.
Provide advanced SharePoint management and support secure conferencing equipment in meeting rooms.
Manage office access controls, including key fobs, parking garage cards, and building security assignments.
Maintain office printer functionality through troubleshooting, routine maintenance coordination, and timely issue resolution.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security configurations.
Advanced proficiency in SharePoint, Windows/Mac OS environments, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with EDR/MDR tools, vulnerability scanners, and log monitoring software.
Practical experience implementing NIST or CMMC frameworks.
Ability to perform root-cause analysis and forensic investigations.
Capable of translating complex technical risks into business-friendly language for leadership.
High attention to detail for inventory management and compliance logging.
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, provide responsive support to end users, communicate clearly, share knowledge, solve problems proactively, and recommend process and technology improvements.
