About the role
- Assists the Quality Manager in maintaining Company Quality System
- identify and implement job requirements
- preparing any quality related planning.
- Assist in maintenance of Quality Manuals
- Review customer contract requirements
- prepare necessary quality planning (inspection plans, procedures, etc.)
- Perform internal and external audits.
- Assist in maintenance of Approved Vendor List
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and external auditors.
- Compile procedures and certifications for customer approval
- Assist quality Manager in preparing and maintaining welding procedures
- procedure qualification records and welder performance qualifications
Requirements
- Four-year degree in a technical field
- four years of quality engineering related experience in a fabrication and machining environment
- Familiar with fabrication techniques and equipment.
- Inspection and NDE processes.
- Working knowledge of welding and associated quality records.
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Knowledge of NQA-1, NAVSEA, NADCAP, ASME, AS9100 quality requirements.
- Working knowledge of fabrication codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, AWS & MIL.
- Ability to lead teams in problem solving activities and procedure development.
- Working knowledge of Discus or other ballooning software to create Inspection Plans.
- Must possess good writing and communication skills.
