About the role
- Lead development and execution of strategic social media and content plans across all digital platforms through a social-first lens anchored in earned storytelling and connected to PR and influencer strategies
- Spot trends, build bold social campaigns and spark cultural moments that extend reach, drive engagement and fuel virality
- Lead cross-functional teams, mentor mid-level talent and manage budgets, timelines and client relationships
- Conduct channel audits, analyze audience data and turn insights into creative and actionable strategy
- Oversee account & project management across social, influencer and PR teams including timelines, budgets, resourcing and deliverables
- Serve as primary client liaison and lead client presentations, status calls, reports and written materials
- Oversee content strategy, monthly content calendars, content sourcing and platform-specific tactics
- Collaborate with Creative, Strategy, and Analytics teams and with brand agency partners as part of IATs
- Manage influencer identification, vetting, contracting, briefing, and relationship management
- Oversee community management, user-generated content sourcing and publishing across platforms using industry tools
- Lead campaign reporting, performance optimization and cultural/platform trend analysis to inform strategy
Requirements
- 8+ years of social media experience working with both emerging and established brands - ideally in an agency setting and within an IAT
- Must be based in New York or Chicago with proven expertise in the beauty category - from product launches to digital strategy and everything in between
- Fluent in developing and executing strategic social media and content plans across all digital platforms
- Deep expertise across organic and paid social, search and emerging digital channels
- Experienced in community management and in shaping content strategy
- Comfortable conducting channel audits and analyzing audience data and turning insights into creative
- Able to lead cross-functional teams, mentor mid-level talent and manage budgets, timelines and client relationships
- Proven ability to serve as account lead on large-scale programs overseeing big budgets and multiple workstreams
