Associate Director, Medical Affairs Operations – Strategy

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Medical Affairs leadership to establish priorities, operational plans, and strategic investments.
- Develop business reviews, leadership presentations, dashboards, operational metrics, and reporting.
- Develop and continuously improve processes, governance, operating models, and performance metrics.
- Identify operational risks, dependencies, and resource needs.
- Oversee Medical Affairs operational support and vendor management.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between Medical Affairs and key cross-functional partners.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives that advance Medical Affairs strategy.
- Build strong relationships across a complex matrixed organization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare organizations.
- Significant experience supporting Medical Affairs, business operations, strategic planning, or related functions.
- Demonstrated success leading complex operational initiatives in a matrix environment.
- Experience supporting senior leaders and influencing across functions.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets, and external partnerships.
- Field Medical, neuroscience, rare disease, or growth-stage biotech experience is preferred.
- Comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and sustained focus.
