About the role
- Develop and maintain geospatial software applications and tools
- Implement geospatial solutions using programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Process and analyze geospatial data to create visualizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements
- Create geospatial web services and ensure software is updated
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing systems
Requirements
- Expertise to translate programs, automation tools, code, scripts from python to new support program platforms
- Professional expertise in writing programs that automate the management, maintenance, and standardization of large datasets
- Design and code new programs, scripts, and routines to support the automation of operations
- Devise and deploy automated creation, update, and management tools for efficiently mapping data.
- Knowledge of server or client scripting and processing solutions (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
- Comprehend IT servers and geodatabase architecture and design principles
- Pass a federal background check and drug screen
