About the role
- Serve as strategic partner delivering VISTA-aligned consulting to clients
- Lead discovery sessions to understand client business requirements and processes
- Architect, plan, and execute complex Atlassian migrations and consolidations
- Design and implement integrations across CI/CD, CRM, ITSM, and reporting tools
- Configure Atlassian applications (projects, workflows, schemes, fields, permissions, notifications)
- Conduct health checks and optimization reviews to improve stability, security, and governance
- Manage client relationships, communicate technical concepts to varied audiences, and control project scope and timelines
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to Praecipio’s internal knowledge base
- Share expertise and resumes for ongoing application review against consulting engagements
Requirements
- Consultative Solutioning: lead discovery sessions and translate business needs into Atlassian solutions
- Enterprise Migrations: architect, plan, and execute complex Atlassian migrations (Server-to-Cloud, DC-to-Cloud, consolidations)
- Tooling & Integration: design and implement integrations between Atlassian products and third-party tools using REST APIs, webhooks, marketplace apps
- Implementation & Configuration: hands-on configuration of Jira, JSM, Confluence (schemes, workflows, custom fields, screens, permissions, notifications)
- Health Checks & Optimization: conduct assessments to identify performance, security, and governance improvements
- Client Relationship Management: act as trusted advisor, manage scope, expectations, and timelines
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: contribute to internal knowledge base and mentor junior team members
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Atlassian Engineer, Administrator, or Consultant in a large-scale, enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex migrations for Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Extensive experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence configuration and schemes
- Proven expertise with marketplace apps (ScriptRunner, eazyBI, Structure, Xray) and custom solutions via REST APIs
- Strong understanding of Agile (SAFe, Scrum), DevOps, and ITSM/ITIL frameworks
- Experience with scripting languages (Groovy, Python) to automate and extend Atlassian functionality
- Certifications highly desired: ACP-JPA, ACP-JCA or ACP-JAD, ACP-JSW, ACP-JSM, ACP-ASA, and other relevant certs (AWS, PMP, SAFe)
