About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for field engineering support of all Precision Inc. products within the assigned territory and/or products including but not limited to technical product performance issues (SAR’s), product applications and gathering of technical data to quote and produce PPI-Global products.
  • Respond to customer needs within the assigned territory and/or product range.
  • The assigned territory will require a focus on Industrial and Heavy Mining Conveyor products.
  • Providing technical support services over the phone for the Sales Ops organization, especially while working in the home office when not traveling.
  • On site services include surveys, technical product information, conveyor design training, conveyor component training, problem solving, root cause analysis, and applications engineering.
  • Establish good communications and a working rapport with Product Engineering and the Territory Sales team to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Video Conferencing (Zoom and Teams) and email.
  • Be responsible for labor reporting when Precision Inc. will charge for field services, to include details of work performed, time required for completion and cost charged to the customer for said work.
  • Be responsible for adherence to all safety rules and guidelines as specified by Precision Inc and any facility being visited.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in the Engineering field from a four-year college or university
  • A two-year technical degree with three to five years of related experience and/or training
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills as well as interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Engage in regular, consistent attendance.
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
  • Mine Safety Training (will be provided if not already acquired)
