About the role

  • Build new business growth by identifying, qualifying, and converting new industrial accounts while expanding share within existing customers.
  • Develop account strategies with clear goals, milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Build strong, multi-level customer relationships and position PPG as a trusted technical and commercial partner.
  • Use VOC (Voice of the Customer) insights to guide product development, application support, and priorities.
  • Assess long- and short-term customer requirements and identify opportunities for new products, technologies, and qualification programs.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform account strategy and market positioning.
  • Develop comprehensive growth plans outlining customer trends, competitive activity, major account profiles, and five-year revenue and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to create pricing strategies.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and manage commercial agreements.
  • Implement sales and marketing projects in partnership with operations, product management, and technical teams to support customer satisfaction and product adoption.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with industrial products or similar technical markets.
  • Experience with the industrial coatings industry, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Proven hunter mentality with experience new business development.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% to visit customers and attend important meetings – US (Canada/Mexico, when needed)
