About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment.
Provide 24x7 “on-call” services as required unless on PTO or Off Call.
Battery installations and replacements.
Perform required preventative maintenance service to equipment under contract as scheduled.
Customer contact and interface.
Protect company proprietary information, manuals, and records.
Use of electronic and electrical test equipment as necessary.
Coordinate and manage all on-site subcontractors hired by PSS as necessary.
Ensure that work is performed to PSS standards.
Complete all paperwork, including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Reports, and other job required reports timely and accurately.
Provide technical support to customers upon request.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum Qualifications PM Technician requires one to three years of field experience servicing commercial generator systems
capable of preventive maintenance
operational understanding of automatic transfer switch’s
performing load banks
All Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
related military experience or equivalent field experience
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals and policies and procedures
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts
Ability to safely perform physical labor in an outdoor setting
Must observe all safety standards.
Computer fluent, with specific attention to ERP systems, email and Microsoft Office products.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to express commitment to PSS, its customers, and its employees.
Process oriented, with demonstrated attention to detail.
Teamwork oriented with collaborative style.
