Finance Intern

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the monthly close process, supporting activities from accounting close through financial reporting and corporate finance analysis.
- Support corporate finance with analysis of financial results, key performance indicators, and business drivers.
- Assist with account reconciliations and supporting schedules, flux analysis, and management reporting materials
- Document finance processes and identify potential improvements to controls, reporting, or workflows
- Support tax and treasury-related analysis and reporting
- Assist with cash flow forecasting support, reconciliations, and documentation
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and process improvement work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant field of study in an undergraduate or graduate level program (or equivalent)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis (preferred)
- Familiarity with financial planning tools (preferred)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) (preferred)
- Knowledge of GAAP principles (preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, basic modeling) (preferred)
- Exposure to financial modeling or forecasting concepts (preferred)
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment (preferred)
- Ability to identify process improvements and suggest efficiencies (preferred).
