About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review and draft various contracts related to PowerFlex’s business throughout the United States.
Interact with clients and counterparties, including leading negotiations and communications.
Provide legal support and serve as the main point of contact for internal business and management teams for a variety of communications around contracting and legal matters.
Develop and refine legal systems, contract templates, processes and playbooks, to continuously improve the health of the company’s legal and compliance functions.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor degree and member of a State Bar Association (preferably California)
3-10 years of legal experience in relevant fields; preferably involving some familiarity with any of: renewable energy, distributed generation, technology, construction, project finance, or energy
Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to work with cross-functional business teams, and lead the drafting, negotiation and implementation of contracts
Passionate about business results, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership
Attention to detail, particularly while overseeing the full contract cycle
Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
Self-starter who can complete tasks and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
Advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, and other Office products.
