About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute cell design and provide the bill of materials (for samples, change requests, etc.)
- Evaluate the effects of cell design on cell properties (capacity, VED, mass, BOM, etc.) including verification of intermediates and their corresponding definitions
- Identify and analyze cell design trade-offs and derive countermeasures (prepare recovery plans, VED, QC, etc.)
- Review and highlight discrepancies between TDAs, OOPSL data, and cell design
- Coordinate the DoE overview, tracking, and gap analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree, e.g., in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, physics, chemical engineering, process engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in cell design with a chemical and industrial background
- Strong expertise in lithium‑ion cell design and electrochemistry
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialization
