About the role
- Edit long-form footage into multiple short-form clips with strong hooks, tight pacing, and clear story.
- Cleverly edit content to engage with our audience and visually tell a story aligned with brand voice and strategy.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Marketing team to content pitch ideas, plan shoots, and build a steady content engine.
- Film and edit short-form videos optimized per platform (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
- Support both organic and paid editing needs (ad-friendly variations, testing cuts, iterating on winners).
- Identify top-performing content and create smart variations for testing (new hooks, formats, intros, punchlines).
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments during weekly shows/events and help organize footage for fast turnaround.
- Help package and schedule content across multiple accounts and channels.
- Monitor performance and flag viral velocity (and what’s causing it) so the team can react quickly.
- Coordinate with creatives, social, and marketing teams on content schedules and sprint needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or similar (nice to have—not a dealbreaker).
- Fluent in the full workflow: capture → edit → post → monitor.
- 1+ year professional experience creating social content and/or content marketing & editing social content.
- Strong understanding of major platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Experience with editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut (or equivalents).
- Strong writing skills (grammar matters—yes, even in poop jokes).
- Excellent editorial instincts: you know what to cut, what to keep, and what to punch up.
- Great judgment + willingness to push the brand further while protecting what makes it great.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment: you can prioritize, move quickly, and stay calm.
- Energetic, curious, collaborative, and proactive.
- Available for non-traditional hours during live streams (potentially weekly Thursday nights; some Sunday nights).
- Available for frequent in-person shoots and events.

- Social listening experience
- Experience and comfort occasionally being in front of the camera as well to film content
- Comfort with Asana, Excel, and reporting tools
- Experience bridging organic content into paid social testing strategy
