Senior Human Resources Generalist
Positively PartnersSenior HR Generalist in a remote role, addressing HR inquiries and supporting multiple nonprofit clients. Guiding leave processes and compliance in human resources across various states.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with managers on nuanced HR inquiries, including multi-faceted employment changes, policy interpretation, system troubleshooting, and multi-state compliance questions.
- Translate complex HR information into clear, concise, and standardized email communications.
- Navigate a high-volume of incoming requests with attention to urgency, compliance risk, payroll or benefits impact.
- Pull reports and analyze data from Dayforce to respond to escalated requests.
- Actively contribute to the codification of HR practices by identifying recurring inquiries and developing standardized email templates.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for leave of absence requests, guiding employees through applicable policies.
- Provide routine coaching to managers on attendance and policy-aligned next steps.
- Support the administration of recurring HR cycles, including performance reviews and compliance updates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of progressive human resources experience, with demonstrated generalist responsibilities across core HR functions.
- Active HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) OR Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- Demonstrated ownership of leave of absence and ADA accommodation administration end-to-end.
- Experience supporting HR across multiple legally distinct employer entities or external clients.
- Breadth of HR generalist experience across employee relations, leave management, compliance, performance, and HR systems.
- Experience supporting HR in organizations of 800+ employees, with comfort navigating scale and complexity.
- Demonstrated ownership of multi-state employment law compliance in day-to-day HR work.
- Strong judgment in prioritizing competing requests in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to build trust with managers and employees through clear communication.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex HR information clearly and empathetically.
