About the role
- Develop and prepare tooling and fixture solutions for manufacturing assembly.
- Act as a liaison for manufacturing teams, resolving issues and defects related to existing tooling.
- Support functional and environmental trials of tooling systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing teams to resolve technical queries.
- Plan and report daily activities to meet project milestones.
- Gather data and produce tooling specifications and requirements documentation.
- Challenge non-essential requirements to reduce unit production cost and design complexity.
Requirements
- Current SC Clearance (essential)
- Ability to commute to Bolton or Stevenage
- Experience in tooling and fixture development within a manufacturing or defence environment
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with technical documentation and specification creation
