About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Portcast is already trusted by global freight forwarders, manufacturers, and cargo airlines. Marketing is how we tell that story to the rest of the industry, fill the pipeline, and make our product impossible to ignore. We want a Marketing Director who can do both: set the strategy and roll up their sleeves to ship it.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the marketing function end to end and lead a lean team consisting of a Growth Marketing Manager and a Content Marketing Manager. This is not a role where you inherit a large organization or simply review campaigns.
  • Product Marketing will be your primary area of ownership. You'll partner closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions to launch new capabilities, refine our positioning, build compelling messaging, and equip our commercial teams with the assets they need to win. You'll also own our events strategy, deciding where Portcast shows up and ensuring every event creates measurable business impact.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building. You are comfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution, thrive in fast moving startup environments, and naturally take ownership without waiting for direction. You're curious about our domain, excited by AI, and enjoy learning the nuances of logistics and supply chains to tell better product stories.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • Enterprise B2B SaaS Marketing: You have significant experience leading marketing within an enterprise B2B SaaS environment. You understand complex buying committees, long sales cycles, and how marketing contributes to revenue growth beyond lead generation.
  • Product Marketing Expertise: You have a strong product marketing foundation with experience owning positioning, messaging, go to market strategy, product launches, customer storytelling, and sales enablement. You know how to turn technical products into compelling business narratives.
  • Ownership and Initiative: You naturally spot opportunities before others do. You don't wait for someone to ask you to market a new feature, write a customer story, or launch a campaign. You proactively identify what matters, build momentum across teams, and drive initiatives through to completion with minimal direction.
  • Curiosity for Logistics Domain: You enjoy learning technical domains and quickly becoming fluent in new industries. Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or freight technology is highly valued, but equally important is a genuine curiosity to understand our customers, products, competitive landscape and market in depth.
  • Marketing leadership: Proven senior marketing experience in B2B SaaS selling into the enterprise. You have led marketing and can point to pipeline and revenue impact, not just activity. You are fluent in marketing metrics such as CAC, CPL, LTV, MQL-to-SQL.
  • Growth and demand generation: You have a good working understanding of performance marketing and the key metrics behind it (CAC, CPL, LTV, MQL-to-SQL). The Growth Marketing Manager will own execution, day-to-day delivery, and experiment design. Your role is to stay close to performance, provide input where needed, and ensure work is aligned to broader business priorities.
  • Content quality and standards: Execution and production of content will sit with the Content Marketing Manager, while your role is to guide direction, review output, and set them to a higher standard.
  • AI Forward Mindset: You consistently apply AI across advanced marketing workflows and actively experiment with new tools as they emerge.
  • Startup Builder Mentality: You thrive in lean, fast moving environments where ownership is high and resources are limited. You're comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution and enjoy building processes, programs, and marketing assets yourself when needed.
  • Cross Functional Influence: You work effectively across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, navigating competing priorities, and driving alignment across teams.
  • People leader and mentor: You develop the people around you. You give honest feedback and care about your team's growth as much as their output.
  • Strong communicator: You communicate clearly across a diverse, distributed, cross-cultural team. You can be opinionated, but you engage with other views and compromise when it's right. You can simplify complex ideas, influence stakeholders, and build trust across diverse groups.

Benefits

Comp & perks
  • Build in an industry that's still defining modern B2B marketing: Logistics & supply chain technology is at an exciting stage of digital transformation, with significant opportunities to rethink how enterprise software is marketed. We believe curiosity, strong product marketing fundamentals, and the ability to learn quickly matter more than prior logistics experience. You'll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, challenge conventional thinking, and help shape what great marketing looks like in this industry.
  • Globally distributed, remote-first flexibility: Work with a fully distributed team across Asia and Europe, built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. Our diversity of perspectives fuels how we market and keeps us curious.
  • Visibility & Impact: With a lean structure, your work is effective from day one, owning one of the company's most strategic functions, you'll see your decisions move pipeline and revenue directly and shape how Portcast goes to market. You'll own marketing end to end, influence company strategy, and work alongside Product, Sales, and Customer Success to drive business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape strategy while staying close to execution. From product launches and messaging to event strategy and GTM initiatives, you'll have the autonomy to move ideas from concept to impact without layers of approval.
