About the role
- Transform Product Managers' high-level epics and requirements into clear, actionable, and well-defined user stories for engineering.
- Lead and facilitate prioritization discussions with project leads and stakeholders to ensure alignment on roadmap expectations.
- Refine your own backlog: ensure all stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) before sprint planning to guarantee readiness criteria are satisfied.
- Maintain backlog hygiene, including tracking dependencies, validating tickets, and cleaning up stories.
- Monitor product operations in service delivery and proactively identify risks.
- Collaborate with the Product Design & Experience team to review wireframes, flows, and prototypes, ensuring design alignment with requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during development sprints to clarify requirements, validate scope, and support engineering and QA.
- Work with the PM to review, triage, and prioritize bugs based on impact, severity, and release timelines.
- Prepare internal sprint demos and help communicate progress across teams.
- Prepare and deliver internal product demos after the sprint.
- Create and maintain documentation for product workflows, tools, and templates.
- Develop product sheets (customer release notes) for each release and train internal teams.
- Monitor product operations performance, identify risks early, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and report delivery KPIs, dashboards, and metrics that improve transparency and predictability.
- Act as Scrum Master for one or more teams, ensuring Agile principles and practices are followed.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and remove impediments quickly, escalating when necessary to maintain team flow.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, project management, or similar roles.
- 2+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM) or equivalent is a strong asset.
- Excellent mastery of Agile methodologies and Jira administration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable tasks.
- Familiarity with prioritization frameworks such as RICE and backlog management best practices.
