About the role
- Lead and coordinate IT support operations across your region
- Manage both in-house and outsourced teams to deliver a high-quality, responsive service
- Oversee a tiered support model, ensuring incidents are resolved efficiently
- Continuously improve service delivery through performance monitoring, reporting, and innovation
- Take ownership of IT infrastructure and systems across multiple sites
- Support technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, and network environments
- Manage escalations, lead projects, and system upgrades
- Ensure maximum availability and minimal disruption to services
- Act as a key liaison with stakeholders, vendors, and senior leaders
- Drive improvements through data led insights, SLA and KPI tracking, and the development of robust processes and documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing staff
- Experience running or deputising within an IT support team
- Proven experience supporting multi-site operations and remote users
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server and VMware environments
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Office 365
- Experience working with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to issue resolution
- Ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement
- Resilience, patience, and a high level of emotional intelligence
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Understanding of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
