About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate IT support operations across your region
  • Manage both in-house and outsourced teams to deliver a high-quality, responsive service
  • Oversee a tiered support model, ensuring incidents are resolved efficiently
  • Continuously improve service delivery through performance monitoring, reporting, and innovation
  • Take ownership of IT infrastructure and systems across multiple sites
  • Support technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VMware, and network environments
  • Manage escalations, lead projects, and system upgrades
  • Ensure maximum availability and minimal disruption to services
  • Act as a key liaison with stakeholders, vendors, and senior leaders
  • Drive improvements through data led insights, SLA and KPI tracking, and the development of robust processes and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing staff
  • Experience running or deputising within an IT support team
  • Proven experience supporting multi-site operations and remote users
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server and VMware environments
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Office 365
  • Experience working with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to issue resolution
  • Ability to manage projects and drive continuous improvement
  • Resilience, patience, and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Understanding of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
